The Rural Worker Package radios have similar range compared to our family packages, but they are best for heavier terrain, and they offer many more optional features. They are able to be programmed with encryption to ensure the privacy of your radio traffic, and they are also able to be programmed with Marine-Band frequencies, if you are going to be close to or on the water.

Great for outdoor workers as well as recreational use
Has excellent range in wilderness and open terrain
Uses VHF frequencies
Has options for digital frequencies and encryption (to enhance privacy)
Has options to be programmed for Marine-Band and railroad operations
